Become a Volunteer

As a non-profit organization, we greatly depend on the invaluable contributions of our dedicated volunteers in every aspect of our operations, administration, and programs.

As an SVCPC volunteer, you will be expected to represent the SVCPC in a professional manner during our many programs including but not limited to patrols, outreach events, and VPD-related programs.

In order to Volunteer at the SVCPC you must meet the following requirements:

  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • 18 years of age or older. 
  • Consent to and pass a criminal record check conducted by the VPD
  • Volunteer at least 4 hours per month at the SVCPC
  • Converse and write in English
  • Be a Team Player

We are always looking for keen volunteers! Our website provides information on the many programs we offer and how you, as a volunteer, can make a difference in our community. Please take your time to explore our website and contact our office for more information! We are always recruiting volunteers for the following:

  • Foot Patrol
  • Bike Patrol
  • Speed Watch
  • Mobile Office
  • Office Receptionist / Citizen Assistance
  • Fundraiser
  • Housekeeping
  • Community / city-wide event participation
  • Safety talks (to seniors, children, teens etc.)
  • Volunteer recruitment teams
  • Special projects (pedestrian safety, crime analysis, research, etc)

We provide all of the training necessary for your duties.
